Ofsted July 2016
Northfield School is a large 11-16 school and specialist sports college. We are an ambitious and inclusive school with state of the art facilities and interactive technology in a well-resourced newly refurbished building.
In July 2016, Ofsted judged the school to be Good in all categories. Northfield has a commitment to excellence and helping every child succeed.
The Science department is an innovative and supportive department seeking to share its passion of the subject with well-motivated students. The department consists of 14 fully equipped labs, preparation areas and a staff work room, including 4 brand new, state of the art labs in our recently opened new build. These labs have been designed with Science team input and have enabled us to develop unique learning spaces that match our teaching and learning needs.
We are looking to appoint a positive, flexible, proactive and enthusiastic Technician to join our highly successful and popular Science department. The ideal candidate will share our passion for science and be a highly motivated addition to our team. Experience of working in a laboratory or school prep room is essential, and an understanding of Health and Safety requirements in a classroom or laboratory context is necessary.
We can offer you:
- a newly refurbished and well resourced teaching and learning environment
- excellent opportunities for CPD
- a staff health and well-being programme
- a warm, friendly and positive working environment where everyone is valued
