Annual Shakespeare’s Festival
Northfield School and Sports College are once again preparing to participate in the annual School Shakespeare Company production for our third year in a row.Our Key Stage 3 cast are eagerly learning this year’s production of The Taming of the Shrew and have had the pleasure of working with professional actors at Middlesbrough Theatre in preparation for their final performance in November. A Great Start for Year 7 Science
Our Year 7 students have started off the year by learning all about Lab safety, including how to light Bunsen burners, handle chemicals, the importance of keeping themselves and others safe while doing practical work, and how to risk assess an activity. Once again our students rose to the challenge and displayed a very high level of maturity throughout.Well done Year 7 you are all off to a great start in Science at Northfield.
Northfield’s Summer Art Show
On Thursday 6th July the Mayor and Mayoress of Stockton attended Northfield’s Summer Art Show entitled ‘Picture This’ and awarded prizes to students across a range of age groups.The show has grown in recent years to include work from feeder primary schools and local tertiary colleges where past Northfield have continued their creative studies. Stockton School Sports Awards 2017
At the Stockton Schools Sports Awards held on Wednesday 5th July Northfield School achieved the following:Year 9 student Charlotte was recognised for her contribution to sports leadership. She has been a leader at numerous primary festivals and events throughout the year and is also a Panathlon leader at events which cater for disabled pupils.Northfields Girls Futsal team won the Secondary School Sports Team of the Year for their achievement of becoming the National Schools Champions.
