A Day in The Life of a student at Northfield School
At the end of the last Academic Year, current Year 8 Northfield students created a video profiling the journey of "A Day in The Life" of a student at our school. The Student Council led this and produced this fantastic video aimed at providing an insight into the daily activities and opportunities for everyone at Northfield. This was particularly aimed at the new 2018/19 Year 7 cohort, to be shown during immersion week to assist them in feeling inspired by their new school.We hope to see some future stars of the big screen emerge from this production! Expedition to Northern Iceland 2018
This summer 4 Year 10 Northfield Students, Codie, Mia, Decland and Kai, returned from a grueling 3 week wild camping expedition in Northern Iceland. Following 26 hours of travelling, 2 teams involving 4 schools from around the country made the 1 hour hike into Swartakot to set up base-camp. From here the teams set off in different directions to explore the surrounding wilderness.Over the 3 weeks the teams met 3 overall objectives to reach some truly wild and spectacular landmarks. Year 8 Debate Team Visit Westminster
This year’s Year 8 Debate Team have had a great time in London visiting the Palace of Westminster and participating in a debating workshop. Well done Year 8!
Year 10 College Experience Days
From Monday 2nd July to Thursday 5th July all year 10 students took part in two college experience days. Students chose to visit either Middlesbrough, Stockton Riverside, SRC Bede, Hartlepool FE, Hartlepool Sixth Form or Stockton Sixth Form College. The students took part in a wide array of workshops from Aerospace Engineering to Health and Beauty and had an insight into general college life.Thank you to all of the colleges for giving the students such a worthwhile experience, which will help them to make important decisions next year when they leave Northfield School.
