Annual Shakespeare’s Festival

Northfield School and Sports College are once again preparing to participate in the annual School Shakespeare Company production for our third year in a row.Our Key Stage 3 cast are eagerly learning this year’s production of The Taming of the Shrew and have had the pleasure of working with professional actors at Middlesbrough Theatre in preparation for their final performance in November. Another Successful Open Evening at Northfield

On Monday 18th September Northfield School opened its doors to welcome prospective Year 7 students and parents for September 2018.The Open Evening was a great success, giving future students and parents a chance to view what we have to offer as a school. Headteacher, Mr Walker welcomed guests to the school before the Junior Leadership Team impressed the audience with their positive thoughts and experiences about Northfield.The many visitors were impressed with our current facilities and were able to view plans of our ‘school within a school’, new build, for the upcoming year 7 students. A Great Start for Year 7 Science

Our Year 7 students have started off the year by learning all about Lab safety, including how to light Bunsen burners, handle chemicals, the importance of keeping themselves and others safe while doing practical work, and how to risk assess an activity. Once again our students rose to the challenge and displayed a very high level of maturity throughout.Well done Year 7 you are all off to a great start in Science at Northfield.
