Northfield School Shown In Lights Around Twickenham Stadium

As part of Northfield School's involvement with the RFU, Tom, in year 7, spent a day at Twickenham at the England-Wales game. He received coaching from the England U18 coach, walked out onto the pitch as one of the flag bearers and then watched the game. As you can see from the photos Northfield School was shown in lights around the stadium. Tom had a fantastic day and we are now waiting for our own school set of Rugby shirts that Tom helped to design.

Northfield’s Skiing Trip 2018

Very early on Saturday morning (I mean VERY early, like three o’clock in the morning) we found ourselves outside of school. The reason? We were going skiing in Alpe d’Huez. Thirty-two school students and three teachers made their way towards Newcastle airport, catching the early flight to Geneva. Excitement grew as we drove through Switzerland and the rugged mountains of France. After this interesting yet long journey, we reached our final destination: La Vallee Blanche Hotel, Alpe d’Huez. Careers Event – Business Visits

Tuesday 6th February – Friday 9th FebruaryFrom Tuesday 6th February – Friday 9th February Year 10 students took part in a number of different events linked to the development of their careers. Over 240 students visited a wide range of businesses including Wilton Engineering, Suzanne Wilson Hair Design, Wynyard Hall Hotel and The Arc in Stockton. The aim of the event was to develop students’ ideas about their careers and show them the range of jobs and opportunities available to them in the local area.The students gained from a wide range of experiences and were a credit to the school....

Design and Technology Success for Caitlin

Caitlin in Year 8 has worked hard this term to overcome her vision impairment in Design and Technology. The class have been producing a mood light of their own design. After several design ideas Caitlin settled for a heart design and sketched her design on paper. This was then reproduced using CAD software and printed on acrylic using a laser cutter. Caitlin then used various skills and techniques to produce the base and circuit board for the LED light. Caitlin was over the moon with the final result. Harry Potter Book Night

Northfield Library was transformed into a wizarding world complete with platform 9 3/4 , Honeydukes sweet shop and dementor photo booth to celebrate the fourth annual Harry Potter night which shares the magic of J.K. Rowling’s fantastic books.Young wizards, witches and Muggles came dressed as their favourite characters and enjoyed an evening of magical games, readings from Harry Potter, wizard duels and pin the sock on Dobby!
