Stockton School Sports Awards 2017

At the Stockton Schools Sports Awards held on Wednesday 5th July Northfield School achieved the following:Year 9 student Charlotte was recognised for her contribution to sports leadership. She has been a leader at numerous primary festivals and events throughout the year and is also a Panathlon leader at events which cater for disabled pupils.Northfields Girls Futsal team won the Secondary School Sports Team of the Year for their achievement of becoming the National Schools Champions. Northfield School Visit to Stockton Sixth Form College Open Day

As part of our ongoing links with local colleges and sixth forms, Northfield’s Most Able were invited to an open day at Stockton Sixth Form College to experience a taste of education when they leave school.  All of the students who attended the day worked in two sessions to complete activities linked to the subjects on offer when they leave school. Athletics Boys Winners!

Well done to the Year 9 and 10 Boys Athletics team for winning the Stockton Schools Athletics League.The event was held at Middlesbrough Sports Village and all the boys did very well in their individual events which resulted in a great team win. Northfield Says Goodbye to the Year 11 Students

Five years after welcoming them through the doors of Northfield, the class of 2016/17 saw their final in-school celebration with a fantastic Leaver’s Assembly on Tuesday 27th of June. A large and exuberant gathering of Year 11 students were impeccably behaved throughout the two-hour triumph of their time at the school.Awards were presented for students with 100% attendance, high achievement points and in recognition of individual’s effort and commitment to their own curriculum subjects. Year 6 STEM Experience

On Tuesday 27Th June, Northfield’s Science department hosted a primary science induction event for y6 students from The Glebe, Pentland School, Billingham South Community Primary School and St Paul’s RC Primary School. The event was designed to help ease transition into Northfield in September, encourage team work and collaboration and most importantly to promote the importance of STEM.Students were challenged to build a spaghetti tower which could stand for 1 minute on its own.
