Year Seven at Northfield School raise over £3000 for The Future Fund

Since September, Year Seven have been working tirelessly to raise a huge amount of money for our school charity: The Future Fund. Initially, each tutor came up with lots of ideas of ways to raise the money, ranging from wild ideas, such as bungee jumping and ‘throw a pie at a teacher’ to the more sensible like a sponsored run. Year 6 Transition Week

The Year 6 students who are joining Northfield officially in September have spent some time in the school this week. On Monday Evening, parents were given the opportunity to meet with members of the new Year 7 Guidance Team, members of the Senior Leadership Team and their child's new tutor.  The two transition days were Tuesday and Wednesday, where the Year 6 students spent a day in their new Tutor Group and sampled some of the different lessons they will study when they join the school. Northfield School Prom 2015

The Northfield, class of 2015 Prom was held at Wynyard Hall on Wednesday 1st July.  Over 190 Year 11 students were dressed very smartly and spray tanned up! The Year 11 leavers attended Northfield first of all, sampling non-alcoholic champagne and taking the opportunity to be photographed on the red carpet.  Thankfully, the weather held off and it was a fabulously warm, beautiful evening.  The students were bussed to the venue where, after more photos opportunities, the students dined and mingled. Northfield’s Summer Fair 2015

Saturday 27th June saw the second of Northfield School’s annual Summer Fair.  It was a hugely successful day with a fantastic atmosphere attended by parents, students, staff.  It was lovely to see local residents supporting the occasion too.There were lots of activities from face painting to trampolining, a miniature railway, giant slide, stocks (unsurprisingly popular) and lots of stalls and games.The rain stayed away and we raised a huge £3000 for the school. 8t/E1 Achieve Highest National Award for Accelerated Reader

Earlier this year, Miss Silivistris’s 8t/E1 achieved ‘Model Class’ for their efforts in the Renaissance Learning’s Accelerated Reading (AR) scheme. Now they have progressed even further to attain the highest possible award in the national scheme: ‘Master Class’.
