Norwegian Exchange Programme

Eight Year 9 students have just taken part in the first leg of the Norwegian exchange programme.  The programme has now entered its 27th year and represents the longest standing tradition that Northfield School has.   Every year, eight successful applicants have the opportunity to fly to Norway and experience the school system, Norwegian culture and a host of typical Norwegian outdoor activities. They spent the week in and around Tananger Ungdomsskole School, in a suburb of Stavanger. Y11 Revision Technique Teachmeet

Thursday 26th FEBRUARY at 6pm : Y11 Revision Technique Teachmeet event for members of the Y11 High Achievers Team and their parents/guardians.Come and learn a range of revision techniques to help you best prepare for your upcoming exams. There will be ten short presentations from teaching staff from many different departments. The event will be held in the main hall with refreshments available. We look forward to seeing you there.

Year Seven Homework Club Trip to Clip 'n' Climb

Six Year Seven pupils have been attending homework club every Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The pupils involved are: Lewis Botham, Jacob Cameron-Bruce, Joseph Clark, Callum Grey, Connor Wardell and Brandon Good. This has been in order to ensure that all homework is completed to the highest standard and to ensure they grasp every opportunity to make good progress at Northfield. As a reward for their continued attendance and hard work, they were taken to Clip 'n' Climb and McDonald's. Year Seven Netballers Remain Unbeaten

Year Seven Netballers beat All Saints and Teesside High.We are pleased to announce that the Year 7 girl's netball team remain unbeaten in the Stockton Schools League. On Wednesday 14th January, they played All Saints school and won an astonishing 11-1. It was an excellent performance by all who played. Goal shooter, Libby Instone, scored the majority of goals with excellent contributions from Tamzin Canham and Olivia Grylls. The defence played fantastically well- only allowing 1 goal. Harry Potter Book Night

Students had a wonderful time celebrating the first ever Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday 5th February. The event was held afterschool in the Library and Resource Centre organised by Mrs Cady and Mrs Barnfather. Students had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters, travel through platform 9 ¾, take part in a sorting ceremony, have their photo taken with a Dementor, a scavenger hunt around the Library, complete potions, transfiguration and charms challenges, take part in a team quiz and enjoyed an amazing Harry Potter cake and refreshments.
