Glasgow Gymfest Gymnastics Success

Congratulations to Bethany-Elouise Gordon in Yr 7 who won three medals in the annual Gymfest  gymnastics event in Glasgow earlier this month. Teams were there from as far afield as Australia. Hopefully she can reproduce this form in her next big event ‘Gymfusion’ which takes place at the Stadium of Light in June.

Theatre Trip - The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

On Tuesday 19th May, 45 Northfield students from all year groups travelled to Newcastle Theatre Royal to watch the stage production of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas in conjunction with the Children's Touring Partnership.Students commented on how effective the film and novel were transferred to the stage with a fantastic and innovative set and lighting design. Both Bruno and Shmuel were played by two nine year old boys who demonstrated inspirational acting ability and who brought a tear to our eye during the final scene. A truly memorable piece of theatre and highly recommended!

E-Safety Guest Speaker – Thursday 21st May 2015

On Thursday 21st May 2015, Northfield School will have the privilege to host guest speaker Karl Hopwood. Karl is a member of the UKCCIS (UK Council for Child Internet Safety) and sits on the advisory board for the UK Safer Internet Centre and the education advisory board for CEOP.
