Key Stage Four Parents Information Evening
On Thursday 5th March, 6.30pm, parents will be provided with an opportunity to find out about the options programme and the kind of courses available in Key Stage Four. Subject staff will be on hand to explain and discuss exactly what courses involve and answer any questions parents may have. Local colleges and training agencies will also be present to discuss possible post 16 options and destinations.
Norwegian Exchange Programme
Eight Year 9 students have just taken part in the first leg of the Norwegian exchange programme. The programme has now entered its 27th year and represents the longest standing tradition that Northfield School has. Every year, eight successful applicants have the opportunity to fly to Norway and experience the school system, Norwegian culture and a host of typical Norwegian outdoor activities. They spent the week in and around Tananger Ungdomsskole School, in a suburb of Stavanger. Y11 Revision Technique Teachmeet
Thursday 26th FEBRUARY at 6pm : Y11 Revision Technique Teachmeet event for members of the Y11 High Achievers Team and their parents/guardians.Come and learn a range of revision techniques to help you best prepare for your upcoming exams. There will be ten short presentations from teaching staff from many different departments. The event will be held in the main hall with refreshments available. We look forward to seeing you there.
Year Seven Homework Club Trip to Clip 'n' Climb
Six Year Seven pupils have been attending homework club every Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The pupils involved are: Lewis Botham, Jacob Cameron-Bruce, Joseph Clark, Callum Grey, Connor Wardell and Brandon Good. This has been in order to ensure that all homework is completed to the highest standard and to ensure they grasp every opportunity to make good progress at Northfield. Year Seven Netballers Remain Unbeaten
Year Seven Netballers beat All Saints and Teesside High.We are pleased to announce that the Year 7 girl's netball team remain unbeaten in the Stockton Schools League. On Wednesday 14th January, they played All Saints school and won an astonishing 11-1. It was an excellent performance by all who played. Goal shooter, Libby Instone, scored the majority of goals with excellent contributions from Tamzin Canham and Olivia Grylls. The defence played fantastically well- only allowing 1 goal.
