Year 11 College Market Place

On Monday 1st October year 11 students got the opportunity to collect information from a number of local colleges and apprenticeship providers. The event was set up as a market place in the school hall and groups of students were given time to talk to college representatives and ask questions regarding their future education.The students collected leaflets and prospectuses which will hopefully help them to decide which colleges and courses to apply for. STEM Club Visits High Tunstall College of Science

On 2 October 2018 members of the STEM club attended the annual STEM lecture hosted by High Tunstall College of Science. The students got to hear from Dave Coplin, the Chief Envisioning Officer and Founder of the Envisioners Ltd. Dave provided strategic advice and guidance around the impact of technology in his talk named “The Rise of the Humans”. A Day in The Life of a student at Northfield School

At the end of the last Academic Year, current Year 8 Northfield students created a video profiling the journey of "A Day in The Life" of a student at our school. The Student Council led this and produced this fantastic video aimed at providing an insight into the daily activities and opportunities for everyone at Northfield. Expedition to Northern Iceland 2018

This summer 4 Year 10 Northfield Students, Codie, Mia, Decland and Kai, returned from a grueling 3 week wild camping expedition in Northern Iceland.  Following 26 hours of travelling, 2 teams involving 4 schools from around the country made the 1 hour hike into Swartakot to set up base-camp. From here the teams set off in different directions to explore the surrounding wilderness.Over the 3 weeks the teams met 3 overall objectives to reach some truly wild and spectacular landmarks.
