Happy 10th Birthday Northfield Library!

On Wednesday 7th March we celebrated with a party to mark 10 years since the school library was officially opened. This followed a week of activities and events.

Northfield's school library was 18 years in the planning and cost £700,000 to add to the school in 2008. It is loved and used daily by large numbers of students and includes computers, comfy reading and study areas as well as over 13,000 books.

Staff, invited students and the guest of honour, previous Headteacher David Youldon, enjoyed a Mad Hatters tea party style buffet. Mr Walker said a few words and students spoke about what the library means to them. There was a photo display of the library over the last 10 years and students enjoyed book themed party games.
