Northfield School recognises the importance of full attendance and aims to ensure that all students achieve and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality. We are committed to providing a full and efficient educational experience for all students.
We feel that our parents provide the school with outstanding support. Our parents understand that they have a responsibility to aid the education process and they ensure that students attend regularly, on time, and in a suitable condition to learn. Northfield parents appreciate that regular attendance is a prerequisite to a good education and therefore a priority for the school.
Attendance Reward League Tables
To encourage all students to realise the importance of good attendance and punctuality, not only to achieve their full potential at school, but also their life goals, we have introduced a monitoring system which incorporates rewards and consequences.
To encourage team work, we run an initiative called ‘Attendance Reward League Tables’. Each Year Group has their own competition between Tutor Groups. At the end of every half term, the Tutor Group with the highest attendance will win a prize. At the end of every term there is an extra competition, when every Tutor Group competes against each other in a whole school league.
