Well-Being Garden Transformations
BackRemarkable changes have swept through our well-being garden and allotment, all made possible by the hard work and dedication of our Northfield Sustainability Club.
The Tranquil Garden Retreat
Our well-being garden has transformed into a serene retreat where pupils and teachers can unwind. In addition to bird feeders and new planting areas, the calming sounds of wind chimes and the newly installed water fountain add to the ambience. A Zen garden and four beautifully painted wall panels inspired by the Japanese meditation theme now grace the garden, providing a sense of calm and mindfulness.
A Bountiful Harvest
Our allotment reaped the rewards of a successful autumn harvest, yielding tomatoes, potatoes, and onions, with carrots still waiting to be collected. Beyond the educational value, this hands-on learning experience is an essential part of our journey towards sustainability, providing our food technology department with locally grown produce - more of this to come!
Preparing for Spring
Looking ahead to the upcoming year, we anticipate an even more abundant harvest from our allotment. As we further enrich our outdoor spaces, your contributions are greatly appreciated. Should you have surplus seedlings in the upcoming spring season, any generous donations would be greatly appreciated.
